about the showroom
Michael Folks Showroom is located in Seattle Design Center. Michael opened one of the original design center showrooms back in 1976. At the time, it boasted chocolate brown ceilings and walls, grass cloth and Berber flooring and often had the scent of vanilla scented candles which burned daily as a warm welcome to its guests. In 1984, the Michael Folks name went on the door and everything was painted linen white with sisal and pine floors to reflect the emmerging designs. Today, Michael Folks Showroom still prides itself on offering an engaging and comfortable setting for all of its visitors with a keen attention to well-crafted and unique product.
Michael's interior design background is reflected in the product selection and showroom merchandising. A plethora of ideas awaits everyone who walks through the doors. The showroom offers mid to higher priced furnishings, art and antiques from the USA and around the world. Many of our companies specialize in doing custom work, as each piece they make is to order and completely customizable.
Our samples allow you to choose from many options to make your selection, bespoke, made just as your lifestyle requires. Of course, many unique items are just that - one of a kind - and are available for purchase.
An actual visit to Michael Folks Showroom to explore at your own pace is the only way to experience Michael Folks Showroom.
showroom purchase process
Michael Folks welcomes the design trade and consumers to browse the showroom Monday thru Friday between 9 to 5 p.m.
Designer's clients are welcome to visit, request tearsheets, ask questions and take a tour of the showroom. Once you are ready to make a purchase, the showroom will assist you by contacting your designer to help facilitate the purchase. If you are not working with a designer currently, we also can help refer you to a local designer to facilitate purchases.
